Clearwater, FL – David O’Connor, PE, Assistant Director for Cardno TBE, Water & Wastewater Services in Clearwater, earned the prestigious designation as Board Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) in the area of water supply and wastewater engineering from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE).

AAEE was founded in 1955 for the principal purpose of serving the public by improving the practice, elevating the standards, and advancing public recognition of environmental engineering through the specialty certification of qualified engineers. The Academy’s certification is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards.

To earn the BCEE designation, Mr. O’Connor was recommended by his peers, passed written and oral examinations, and had his credentials and experience reviewed by the AAEE Admission Panel. Mr. O’Connor holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from the University of Central Florida and is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Mississippi. He is also a member of Florida Engineering Society, Pinellas Chapter; Water Environment Federation; National Society of Professional Engineers; American Society of Civil Engineers; American Water Works Association; and National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Survey.
