Cardno TBE Names Branch Manager to Lead New Mexico Office

Albuquerque & Santa Fe, NM, and Clearwater, FL – Cardno TBE, a full-service civil/environmental engineering and consulting firm, headquartered in Clearwater, FL, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alex Salazar as branch manager for New Mexico operations. Mr. Salazar is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of Cardno TBE's subsurface utility engineering and professional utility coordination projects in New Mexico and Colorado.

Mr. Salazar has more than 21 years of experience with the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT). Prior to joining Cardno TBE in January, Mr. Salazar served as the NMDOT utility and subsurface utility engineering liaison, responsible for client relationship management, providing leadership to the utility coordinators and providing professional utility coordination services.

As the utilities manager for the NMDOT, Mr. Salazar was responsible for managing all statewide utility relocation activities, including managing all on-call master subsurface utility engineering and utility coordination contracts for highway projects; serving as leader for all statewide utility policy development and implementation; developing and administering the Federal Section 130 Railroad Safety Program; and managing utility and railroad section staff. Mr. Salazar was responsible for professional development and management of all personnel and responsible for the timely and cost effective relocation activities associated with the delivery of highway projects.
